Atelier de Groot makes custom-made leather belts with attention to detail. All belts are made by hand using traditional techniques in our workshop in Harlingen, Friesland. Our belts are made of the very best sustainable materials, unique and timeless. Years of wearing pleasure guaranteed!
Sustainable leather with a story
Family business Atelier de Groot started in 1965 as a shoemaker. The second generation de Groot, son and daughter Jan Gerhard and Martha, have specialised in making and selling handmade, durable quality belts. A craft and a passion that has been passed on! For example, the handmade leather belts are still made with traditional leather processing techniques in our workshop in Harlingen. For this, we only use premium, environmentally friendly and vegetable tanned leather from the United Kingdom and Germany! Read the whole story here.

The leather belts are made entirely by hand according to old crafts in our workshop. Specify your size when ordering or measure your belt size in the shop. As soon as we have received your order, we will immediately get to work for you. You can expect your belt at home within 1 working week (for Dutch addresses). If the production process takes longer, we will inform you well in time. Because the belt is custom made, it cannot be returned. Not sure of the size? You can also give a gift voucher.
